Bespoke

The bespoke journey

Every commission at MAIRAA by Ambica is guided by intuition and shaped around the woman who will wear it. There is no template — only six considered steps, taken slowly.

I

The conversation

We begin with you, not a design. What you already wear, what you never take off, the occasion or the memory behind the commission — and whether an heirloom is to be reimagined.

II

The sketch

Ambica draws by hand. You will see a small number of considered directions rather than a catalogue of options, each one with a reason behind it.

III

The stones

Natural diamonds, rose-cuts, emeralds, rubies, pearls and polki are sourced and shown to you side by side. Nothing is set until the stone feels right in your hand.

IV

The making

The piece is worked in 18kt gold by the karigars we have worked with for over two decades — and engineered to stay lightweight, however grand it looks.

V

The fitting

A final fitting, adjusted for how you actually wear it: the drop of an earring, the ease of a bangle, the way a pendant sits with what you own already.

VI

Yours to live in

The finished piece is presented in MAIRAA packaging with its certification, and remains in our care for cleaning, resizing and future additions.

“Every commission is guided by intuition and shaped around the woman who will wear it.”
